A rose garden senior session in Lincoln is the perfect way to describe Ava’s senior photos.
Ava’s session included stops at three thoughtfully chosen locations around Lincoln — a rose garden, the exterior of the Sheldon Art Museum, and an open field at a local nature park. Her session felt rooted, refined, and effortless.
Ava is a senior at Lincoln East High School, and after graduation, she’ll be staying right here in Lincoln for college to pursue a career in radiology. She spends her free time playing softball and working at a local daycare.
When planning senior photos in Lincoln, I always start with the senior’s preferences, vision, and interest. Ava wanted classic, pretty photos, with pink, light blue, and white outfits. So, we took that information and paired outfits with her favorite locations.
We began her rose garden senior session along structured pathways lined with blooming roses. The rose gardens offer dreamy light, natural beauty, and several vignettes.
From the garden, we moved to the exterior of the Sheldon Museum of Art for a completely different look. The clean white architecture and strong geometric lines created a modern contrast to the organic setting of the rose garden.
We ended her senior session in an open field at a Lincoln nature park right as the light softened. This location gave her space to move naturally and brought a relaxed finish to the evening. The tall grasses and open sky created simple, dreamy frames, which resulted in photos that felt authentic and effortless.
Ava was such a joy, and her session was beautiful. Enjoy a look at her images!
If you’re a Lincoln junior or senior starting to plan your senior photos, I’d love to help you design a session that fits your style — whether that includes a rose garden senior session, downtown Lincoln architecture, open fields, or a combination of all three.
